Polymorphism of DNA microsatellite BMS 1248 and ILSTS 006 on taro white cattle in Bali, Indonesia

The population of Taro white cattle is only about 59 cattle. This small which will result in the occurrence inbreeding. can lead to loss genetic diversity. purpose this research was characterize breed using microsatellite BMS1248 and ILSTS006. A total 20 were blood drawn extracted, genome DNA amplified by PCR. showed that markers successfully 18 Microsatellites locus ILSTS006 shown be highly polymorphic. In found 5 alleles with allele’s size ranged from 139 165 bp. number 162 168 average observed expected heterozygosity 0.25 0.75 (BMS1248) 0.5 0.671(ILSTS006). PIC value 0.679 (locus BMS1248), 0.58 ILSTS006).
